Trout in the Classroom

Third grade students will be working with Trout Unlimited and DNR to raise Kamloop Rainbow Trout from egg to fingerling. This project will serve as a means to teach science, reading, math, and writing. Through a grant provided by MD DNR Aquatic Resources Education Program, students will produce literature to share their learnng.

 Mrs. Hordubay and Mr. Yoder conduct TIC lessons.
 Students take notes to document their learning.
Students learn how and practice conducting chemical water tests. 
Students understand how important it is to be precise when conducting tests.
On friday, December 16 Ed Spurr delivered our trout eggs!
Students loved looking at them in the jar and were surprised at how small they look.
